ACCENT credit hours
AACC designates this activity for a maximum of 1.0 ACCENT credit hour (per speaker presentation). AACC is an approved provider of continuing education (CE) for clinical laboratory scientists licensed in states that require documentation of CE, including California, Florida, Louisiana, Montana, Nevada, North Dakota, Rhode Island, Tennessee, and West Virginia. ACCENT credit is also recognized by several organizations: American Association of Bioanalysts, American Board of Clinical Chemistry, American Society of Microbiology, American Society for Clinical Laboratory Science, American Society for Clinical Pathology , American Medical Technologists, Association of Clinical Scientists, International Federation of Clinical Chemistry, and the National Registry in Clinical Chemistry.
Instructions for claiming continuing education credits
For presentations accredited for ACCENT credit only, click on the link provided and you will be directed to the AACC website. You will be asked to enter a log-in number and password. If you dont already have a log-in number with AACC, simply create an account to obtain your log-in number and create a password.
For presentations accredited for both CME and ACCENT credit, you will first be required to complete a short quiz before claiming your continuing education credits. The quiz takes only about 5 minutes to complete and contains 3 or 4 multiple-choice or true/false questions about the presentation. After passing the quiz, you will be directed to the AACC website as described above.
NSGC CEU Accreditation
The National Society of Genetic Counselors (NSGC) promotes the professional interests of genetic counselors and provides a network for professional communication. Local and national continuing education opportunities and the discussion of all issues relevant to human genetics and the genetic counseling profession are an integral part of membership in NSGC. The American Board of Genetic Counseling, certifies genetic counselors and accredits genetic counseling training programs. The National Society of Genetic Counselors (NSGC)is the professional membership association for the genetic counseling profession.
The National Society of Genetic Counselors (NSGC) has authorized LabRoots, Inc, BioConference Live to offer Category 2 CEUs for the 2014 BioConference Live, Genetics and Genomics Course. The American Board of Genetic Counseling (ABGC) will accept CEUs earned at this program for the purposes of certification and recertification.

Definition of Contact Hour
One contact hour = one 60 minute clock hour of interaction between learner and instructor or between learner and materials which have been prepared to bring about learning.
Definition of CEU: One CEU = ten contact hours of participation in organized continuing education/training experience under responsible, qualified direction and instruction.
Continuing education credits will be offered at the upcoming 3rd Annual Laboratory Animal Science BioConference Live (LAS BCL). CE credit for a wide variety of career fields wil be available. (Some currently are in the process of being approved.)
The 2014 LAS BCL offers more than 50 hours of continuing education. The maximum CE credits per person in 24 hours.
2014 LAS BCL sessions meet the requirements for Continuing Education Unites (CEU) of American Association for Laboratory Animal Science (AALAS) and Candian Assocation for Laboratory Animal Science (CALAS). Selected topics meet Academy of Surgical Research (ASR) requirements of CEUs.
2014 LAS BCL Program has been reviewed and approved for 55 hours of continuing education credit American Association of Veterinary State Boards Registry of Approved Continuing Education (RACE) approval for veterinarians and veterinary technicians. We will email all conference participants when this approval decision is finalized.
Please note that Industry Track presentations will not qualify for CEUs.

Requirements for Successful Completion
To earn CME or CE Credits, you must view an entire presentation. Following the presentation you must complete the CE Credit form which will be available following each talk. After you have completed the required information, the Certificate will appear which may be delayed. You can then print the certificate which may take up to 30 seconds. Please be patient. You can also complete the CE Credit form from the BioConference Live website's CE Credit page.
